By creating a multi-cultural learning environment that will capitalize on each stylist's potential and unique gifts, we will promote an atmosphere conducive to learning, growth in technique and expanded business knowledge.

About Tamela

After going to school, working in various business industries and having her skill sets recognized through managerial promotions, Tamela found her passion from a hobby that she had been practicing for many years: Beauty.

Tamela recognized that the beauty industry makes people smile and feel good about themselves and that resonates with her. She is also motivated by her customers who often assert that she has a gift when it comes to knowledge of hair growth, nutrition and emotional well-being. She sees endless opportunities to grow this business and contribute to others' growth in the beauty industry.

Tamela has a wealth of experience in the cosmetology field. In over 20-plus years, she has acquired wisdom and many gifts as she became a salon owner and earned the following certifications:

Illinois Certified Cosmetologist

Illinois Certified Cosmetology Instructor

As an Approved Sponsor of Continuing Education in the State of Illinois for the following professions, Tamela is qualified to work with:

What is Tamela's attitude towards life's pursuits? It is reflected in what her customers often hear her say: "It’s not work when you are passionate and love what you are doing!". This is what she embodies in her roles as stylist, instructor, and mother and will enhance the lives of those whose path she will cross.

Tamela is a great listener, motivator and teacher. She loves reaching out to youngsters in their vulnerable and impressionable years and encouraging them to pursue the dreams they set out for themselves.

On September 29, 2011, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital honored Tamela for her service to cancer patients with its Community Outreach Service Award, recognizing her "community service contributions with Look Good Feel Better Classes & The Wig Boutique."

Tamela lives by the Word and thanks God. She appreciates the fact that she is old enough to know the difference in life and young enough to make the difference she wants to see.
